Translators were not loaded due to errors: Adobe Dreamweaver CS3/Dreamweaver 8.0

getting this error message on all my pages “the following translators were not loaded due to errors: XSLT.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.” while open, create and change something in file.. in Adobe Dreamweaver CS3/Dreamweaver 8.0

The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
Spry.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
XSLT.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.

The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
wagmp_map.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
wagt_checkout_buynow.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
wagt_map.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
WAPA_Runtime.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
PHP_MySQL.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
Spry.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
SpryWidget.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.

Solution:

That is usually a corrupt config file. You can try this:

Close DW completely. Right click the Start button, choose “explore” and find this folder:
AppPath\Configuration It may be hidden, so you will need to show hidden files and folders.

to test it, rename the folder (Configuration) to something else like Configuration_old close explore menu and restart dreamweaver.

It should re-write the config files and you should be set to go.

    Document Type and Number:

    United States Patent 6558431

    Abstract:

The inventive editor allows web authors to edit HTML visually while preserving the HTML source document. The editor preserves the structure and format of the HTML, and permits simultaneous modeless visual and source document editing. When an edit is made with the invention, only the HTML source around that edit is updated, rather than rewriting the whole HTML source document. Furthermore, when an edit is made, the new HTML source code is outputted in a format that is specified by the user. In order to preserve the format of the document, format information is stored in the parsed tree. The format of the node is preserved when its source is regenerated; edits to the node will reformat it according to user preferences. In order to preserve the structure of the document, invalid HTML structures are maintained and not corrected. The invention will either support the invalid structure by reflecting such structure in the parsed tree, and thus allow for editing of the structure, or the invention will not support such a structure, and represent such structures as invalid nodes. Moreover, the invention also maintains structure while editing, as the structure and format of the document is only minimally modified during editing, i.e. only the nodes affected by the edits are restructured and reformatted, and the remainder of the document is unmodified.

August 15th, 2009 at 3:45 am Just to add something to this post. I had to use a little bit different method to get my DreamWeaver CS3 to remove these translator error using Windows Vista.

    I had to navigation to

    C:\Users\”USERNAME”\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9

and I renamed the Configuration file to Configuration_old

it took 2 restarts of dreamweaver but then it fixed itself.

    Thanks

    • Right click on your Start up – >and give Explore it will display your login name in that click – > Application Data – > Macromedia -> dreamweaver8 -> and rename the configuration folder and start the dreamweaver

  1. This doesn’t seem to be working for me. Any other solutions, my config.file for dreamweaver is in the dreamweaver folder under adobe in program files, have tried finding AppPath\Configuration to no success. Any help on this would be great.
